Publishing rhythm
Eighteen slots a day, one every eighty minutes.
The publishing grid divides twenty-four hours into eighteen eighty-minute slots, Rome time. Slots are not assigned at random: they follow three windows, each aimed at the reading hours of one part of the world.
Italian and English are not translations of the same post but independent publications, so an English item can go out at a convenient hour for Asia-Pacific and repeat in the evening for the Americas, while the Italian version occupies the European day.
Slots outside the three windows — deep night and late evening — stay free: they serve the workflows that publish on events, when the observed phenomenon does not wait for a calendar, and the growth of the portfolio.
